Today, I went to open a game program, which I have been visiting for years.
It loaded a partial screen but did not open the game window. The site has
experienced problems in the past, but I went to another site that I have
visited and it said that I needed to have the latest version of Flash.

After many attempts to download the latest version which was (supposedly)
successfully installed, it didn't work.

In desperation, I downloaded a new installer for Firefox, deleted my present
version, then reinstalled Firefox and downloaded Flash.

It still doesn't work. Anyone have a clue what's going on, 'cause I sure
don't?

maybe you have bad RAM or a malware problem.
try running memtest86+ and a virus scanner.

Seems odd that everything else is working perfectly, but I'll check it out.

I did check to see if Javascript was enabled--it was.
